Pornography is dedicated to 12% of all sites. Almost 30,000 Internet users visit them every second in the world. One of the explanations of the increasing popularity of the porn genre is difficulties in building interpersonal relationships that could lead to sex. But studies that allow you to clarify that there is a reason and that the investigation has not yet been carried out.
Why are we doing this?
Sexologist Irina Iriyantz calls the three main reasons for appeal to pornography: the desire to see the embodiment of his fantasies, the absence of close relationships and obtaining a stimulus for masturbation.

Psychologist Patrick Carnes, who was one of the first to study sexual dependence, called the four main beliefs characteristic of dependent on pornography. As a rule, these people come from problematic families and have experience of cruel physical or emotional circulation.
They describe themselves something like this: “I am bad”, “I don’t stand anything”, “such as I am, no one will love me”, “If I become dependent on someone, my desires will never be satisfied”, “Sex is my most important need “.
According to Irina Iryantz, in this case, pornography satisfies primarily not sexual, but psychological needs: sex mixes with care of itself and becomes one of the usual ways to relieve tension – including unexpected nature.
It is addiction?
Sexual researcher Eric Jansssen is sure that the term “dependence” is unlawful for excessive consumption of pornography and that such an interpretation will not help get rid of addictions. Psychologist Mary Ann Leiden does not agree with this.
She believes that there is reason to talk about porn dependence: “One of the determining features of dependence is the development of tolerance in relation to the substance that causes it. Drug dependence leads to an increase in the dose. To achieve the same level of excitement, dependent on pornography need to watch more and more hard and extreme video “.
Those who consider porn form of addiction, find that network pornography is more dangerous due to greater accessibility. The ability to visit porn sites anonymously significantly reduces a sense of personal responsibility.
In the hot genre
